This Privacy Policy explains how C.O Control (“the App”) developed by Create Ordinary Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use the app to control your Create Ordinary tail light products.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring your data is handled securely and transparently.

1. Information We Collect

C.O Control is designed to operate primarily on your device and does not collect personal information unless clearly stated below.

a. Information You Provide

• Device binding information

If you bind your tail light to your phone, the app stores a unique identifier locally on your device and sends a token to the light via Bluetooth.

This information is not transmitted to our servers.

b. Automatically Collected Information

• Bluetooth connection data

The app reads BLE broadcasting information (device ID, signal strength) to connect to your Create Ordinary products.

None of this is stored or shared externally.

c. Optional Diagnostic Information (if enabled in the future)

If we introduce crash reporting or analytics, you will be prompted to opt in.

Currently, no analytics or tracking tools are used.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above solely to:

• Connect your phone to your Create Ordinary tail light

• Authenticate ownership when binding or unbinding

• Apply your chosen settings (colour, brightness, animations)

• Improve core features of the app

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, selling, or sharing with third parties.

3. Data Storage

All app settings, device bindings, and preferences are stored locally on your device.

We do not store, view, or process your personal data on external servers.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not share your personal information with:

• Third-party companies

• Advertisers

• Analytics platforms

• Social networks

The only data transmitted is the configuration data sent via Bluetooth directly to your tail light.

5. Permissions

C.O Control requires certain permissions to function:

• Bluetooth – to scan for and connect to your Create Ordinary product

• Location (Android only) – required by the operating system for Bluetooth scanning.

We do not use your location for tracking or any purpose beyond enabling BLE.

6. Security

We take reasonable measures to ensure your information stays secure, including:

• Local-only data storage

• Encrypted BLE communication where supported

• No remote servers collecting data

However, no method of wireless communication is 100 percent secure. You use the app at your own risk.

7. Children’s Privacy

C.O Control is not intended for children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your region, you may have rights including:

• Access to the information stored on your device

• Ability to delete all app data by uninstalling the app

• Requesting clarification on how your data is used

Because we do not collect server-side data, all information is fully removed when you delete the app.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves.
